Community Legal Education
A core part of KWILS’ work is to raise awareness and action on issues that have a gendered impact on women through specialist community legal education. To this end, KWILS works with other community service providers and organisations by providing them with information on women’s legal rights in a range of civil matters.
Community Legal Education (CLE) sessions can be conducted in Katherine, Indigenous communities or other remote locations. Our session topics range from domestic violence, family law, child protection and mandatory reporting legislation, credit and debt issues. We can tailor a CLE sessions to specific stakeholder requirements.
